These IDY classes are taught by Kamie Noelani Loeser, E-RYT. For 2010-2011, Kamie is primarily focusing on teaching Yoga Teacher Trainings and Workshops. However, she has been known to spontaneously add to her schedule! Check back often. If you are not a member of In Motion Fitness, you may drop into class and pay the daily fee for use of the club. Plan ahead and you can use all of the club's facilities. You may also purchase a 10-class yoga series card at the front desk and attend any of In Motion Fitness Yoga Classes.

*Advanced IDY Sadhana is a special fee class and costs $50/month for In Motion Fitness Members or $80/month for non-members.

IDY Class Descriptions & Details

IDY-Integrative Dynamic Yoga™ is a systematic method to enhance and “re”-integrate mind/body consciousness. It is an inter-disciplinary approach that fuses traditional yoga principles and contemporary philosophical practices with the fundamental techniques of exercise science, fitness, and restorative and functional conditioning. IDY establishes optimal health, fitness, personal well-being and awareness.

Advanced IDY Sadhana

For those who want to seriously practice yoga in action, it is time to formulate a specific sadhana. Sadhana means "endeavoring to obtain a particular result." Advanced IDY Sadhana is a powerful method to achieve this result. There are three important aspects of sadhana: choice, commitment, and aspiration. Classes focus on challenging IDY vinyasa movements and yoga postures including hand and arm balancing poses, inversions, and backbends that greet your physical, mental, and spiritual edge. We also use the yoga wall and props to deepen various yoga postures. Time is also spent practicing breathing techniques and sitting meditation. This class is limited to 10 participants and meets 2 times per week. Participants in this class must have previous yoga experience with Kamie, have attended Kamie's IDY Power Flow Level 2 class regularly, or must obtain permission from Kamie to participate.

IDY Power Flow ~ Level 2/Intermediate

IDY Power Flow (or IDY Power Vinyasa Flow) - This class  is a complete experience of IDY's Seven Principles of Synergy with particular emphasis placed on IDY's Dynamic Sequencing - integrated movement and alignment applications for increasing strength, stability, endurance, flexibility and range of motion to enhance physical  conditioning, mind/body-centered awareness, mental clarity and emotional well-being. This class includes instruction and practice of advanced yoga postures and will challenge you in ways you never imagined...physically, mentally, and emotionally. In this class we touch the power of freedom by saying "YES" to life! This is a Level 2 class, previous yoga experience is required.

IDY - Yoga Basics

Create a solid and safe foundation for your yoga practice. Learn fundamental Integrative Alignment Principles based on the Integrative Dynamic Yoga method. Participants will learn breathing techniques, asanas (yoga postures), vinyasa flow movements, and alignment principles that provide a solid foundation for your yoga practice. This class is designed for beginners, but allows seasoned practitioners to come back to the Basics! All levels welcome.

IDY Fundamentals ~ All Levels

Introduces IDY's Seven Principles of Synergy with particular emphasis placed on Integrative Alignment Principles. Perfect for those new to yoga and the IDY method as well as those recovering from injury, challenged by chronic pain, or seeking more detailed posture instruction and guidance. All levels are welcome.

IDY Fundamentals & Flow ~ All Levels

Expands on IDY Fundamentals through the application of IDY's Dynamic Sequencing. Focus is placed on integrated movement and alignment applications for increasing strength, stability, flexibility, and range of motion to enhance muscular conditioning and Mind/Body-Centered Awareness. All levels are welcome.

IDY Joyful Birth Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga helps expectant moms prepare the mind and body for a healthy pregnancy and positive childbirth experience. Using Yoga postures, movement, breath, and meditation, expectant women are able to explore and accept the changes in their body, discover ways of coping with discomforts associated with pregnancy, and prepare their mind and body for labor and birth. Each class includes Yoga postures, breathwork, mind/body-centered awareness, meditation, relaxation, and labor coping rituals. Women build confidence and trust in themselves, their body, and their baby as they prepare for childbirth and motherhood. Benefits of Prenatal Yoga...

For Prenatal Yoga, no prior Yoga experience is necessary. You may start Prenatal Yoga at any time during your pregnancy; however, participants should check with their doctor or midwife before beginning this, or any, exercise program. This Prenatal Yoga class is taught by Kamie Noelani Loeser, E-RYT, a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor, doula, and childbirth educator.
