Integrative Dynamic Yoga(TM) Certification
Serve ~ Guide ~ Inspire

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field.
I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that
grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase 'each other'
doesn't make any sense." - Rumi
The Northern California Yoga Institute is a nationally recognized Registered Yoga School that offers several training programs including a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher program with Yoga Alliance as well as a IDY-Affiliated and IDY-Certified Instructor programs.
The IDY-Affiliated and IDY-Certified Instructor programs are in addition to the Fundamentals of IDY 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training. Upon completion of the Fundamentals of IDY Teacher Training, students who successfully meet all of the requirements will be able to become Registered Yoga Teachers with Yoga Alliance and promote themselves as a Yoga Instructor trained in the IDY Method. The Northern California Yoga Institute's Fundamentals of IDY 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher program is a prerequisite to the IDY-Affiliated and IDY-Certified Instructor designations.
Integrative Dynamic Yoga (IDY) is an emerging yoga style. IDY creator, Kamie Noelani, E-RYT acknowledges that no idea is an original thought but a refinement and expansion of something that already exists. Therefore, IDY is based upon Kamie's experience and knowledge in yoga, physical and functional muscular conditioning, bodywork, biomechanics, somatics, fitness and group exercise, personal training, and other contemporary health and fitness practices. With acceptance, dedication, and compassion, it is Kamie's intention to guide and assist each student with cultivating mind/body-centered awareness, self-realization and authentic self-expression, while at the same time discovering optimal health, fitness, personal well-being, and awareness.
The IDY-Affiliated and IDY-Certified Instructor programs have been developed based on some of the most professional and demanding yoga certification programs in the yoga teaching industry. This ensures that IDY instructors are qualified to teach the IDY Method. IDY Instructors will have completed several years of study, including hundreds of classroom hours with Kamie. IDY-Affiliated Teachers will have completed several Workshops and Advanced Studies Programs and have taught professionally for at least two years, before formally entering the IDY-Certified process.
Earning the IDY-Affiliated and IDY-Certified designations acknowledges that the instructor has done a great deal of inner-study and practice in the methods of IDY, exercise and health science, philosophy, and the art of teaching yoga. The IDY-Affiliated and IDY-Certified programs have been designed to be a process of physical, mental, emotional, and personal self-discovery. The IDY-Affiliated and IDY-Certified designations are not a contract that forces the instructor to follow any dogma or limit the teacher's individual and authentic teaching style, but rather provides instructors a solid foundation upon which to add and blend their particular area of expertise and interest as they continue to study other yoga traditions and health, wellness and fitness modalities and spiritual practices.
Once teachers fulfill all the requirements of the IDY-Affiliated and IDY-Certified requirements, sign the IDY licensing agreement, continue to regularly study and practice IDY, and pay the annual certification fee, teachers earn the legal right to promote themself as an IDY-Certified Instructor.
We invite you to join us and build the future of IDY together!
