About Kamie Noelani Loeser, M.A., E-RYT

"Yoga is...an invitation to engage the world from the perspective of those who live wholly in it...human beings have access to their own power, which is nothing other than the practice of yoga." -Poised for Grace
IDY-Integrative Dynamic Yoga(TM) is an emerging yoga style that provides a means to creating mind/body integration and personal awareness while at the same time cultivating optimal health, wellness and fitness. IDY is based on Kamie Loeser's experience and knowledge in yoga, physical and functional muscular conditioning, bodywork, biomechanics, fitness, group exercise, personal training, and other contemporary health and fitness modalities. IDY is also a fusion of Kamie's background in Integrative Yoga Therapy, Anusara Yoga, Tibetan Buddhism, Mindfulness Based Stress Relief meditation practices and, most recently, Savvy Fitness Functional Intervention Training (F.I.T.). The IDY Method expounds the Seven Principles of Synergy - a systematic method for the application of yoga principles and practices that can be incorporated into and serve as the foundation for any yoga tradition as well as exercise and fitness regiment.

She guides students to explore their intention for practicing yoga and to express it in their life, relationships, work, community, and world. Kamie believes that in order to facilitate positive change in the world, we must first transform ourselves...from the inside-out.
Kamie's approach to each yoga class, workshop, and training is to "honor, serve, guide, and inspire." Her intention is to empower students to compassionately greet their edge, patiently expand their limits, and connect to their inner power, wisdom, joy, and grace. It is from this place that she instructs aspiring teachers to tap into their personal experiences and knowledge to find their voice and create their authentic teaching style.
Kamie has established the Northern California Yoga Institute as an affordable, high-quality, and in-depth provider of 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, Workshops, and Advanced Studies Programs in IDY-Integrative Dynamic Yoga(TM). Yoga Teacher Training Guest Speakers

David Scholz
Philosophy Instructor
David began practicing asana in 1997, and since 2000 has been a dedicated practitioner of the Anusara style of Yoga, a style developed by his principal teacher, John Friend. David is a graduate of Dr. Georg Feuerstein's 3-year, 800-hour, distance-learning course on the traditions, history and philosophy of Yoga. Since 2005, David has also been a student of Dr. Douglas Brooks, Professor of Religion & Classics at the University of Rochester—New York, the historical and pedagogical lineage holder of Rajanaka Tantra. In addition, David began studies in 2007 with Dr. Paul Muller-Ortega, also at the University of Rochester-New York, whose scholarship focuses on Kashmir Saivism and the works of the 11th century Master of Yoga, Sri Abhinavagupta. David uses his solid understanding of the bio-mechanical principals of Anusara and his widening grasp of Yoga's wisdom and liberation teachings to create a Yoga class that advances the traditions in an authentic fashion while encouraging growth and the experiential through personal experimentation within the boundaries of a distinct method.
